Get in my belly - new salad combo

I am not one to venture too far from the "normal" toppings on salads.  My idea of salads have always been pretty boring - spring mix, cucumber, carrot, and light balsamic vinegar dressing.  While my simple salads may taste pretty good, I burn out on them quickly.

Over the past year or so, I have started trying new things on my salads, but haven't gotten much past adding black beans and/or chicken.  Goodness forbid that I actually try something new... maybe a different dressing or adding some crunch to the salad.

Well, today I tried something different...  I have to admit, I was slightly concerned, but not any more!  This salad was so delicious!  What's in the bowl?  Spring mix, cucumbers, bell peppers, red onion, carrots, sunflower seed kernels, black-eyed peas, topped with fat free Catalina.  See the things in italics?  Those are the new items.  I've never had black-eyed peas or Catalina dressing - adding 2 new favorites to my food repertoire.  Can't wait to have it again!
